International Department announces a competition for the international students. If you want to take part, you should make a Christmas toy by your hands. The contest is held from December 12, 2016 to December 25, 2016.

Six professors from Perm State National Research University took part in Oxford University's ‘British culture and institutes’ programme. The participants were: Ilya Rogotnev, deputy dean of the Philology Faculty and Lecturer at the Russian Literature Department, Lyudmila Klimenko, member of the Physics Faculty, Daria Vassilenko, senior professor at the Department of English Language and Intercultural Communication, Anna Pecherkina, junior professor at the Developmental Psychology, Anton Makarov, junior research assistant at the Biochemistry Department and Yulia Granatova, junior professor at the Political Science Department and Director of PSU innovation department in charge of  the development of the university’s innovative potential.

Between October 12th and 15th, a delegation from China University of Petroleum (East China) visited Perm State University for the festivities of the centenary. The delegation was headed by Dr. Shao Cairui and included Drs. Zhang Fuming and Wei Zhoutuo, as well as Liang Xinping – translator. The delegation congratulated Perm State University’s Rector Prof. I. Makarikhin on the centenary and offered him gifts. The visitors also transmitted to the Rector a letter of congratulation from China University of Petroleum’s administration.

Between October 9th and 16th a delegation from the University of Louisville (USA) visited Perm State University. During their visit they assisted to PSU centennial’s celebrations and participated in the international symposium entitled ‘Security of Individuals, State and Society: Challenges and Perspectives’.

During the meeting with Mr. Primož Šeligo was discussed the co-operation of Slovenian universities and Perm State University in the field of research and education, as well as the organization of joint education programmes.

The university partnership programme of the ‘Eurasia’ fund is directed towards the support of the co-operation between American and Russian universities. Professors of Perm State University visited an American university from the 2nd to the 11th of October to familiarize themselves with the American model concerning the organization of students’ fieldwork.

On October 14th, at Perm State University took place, on the occasion of the centenary of the first university of the Ural, the fourth international symposium Metaphor as Means of Knowledge Communication. The symposium was organized by the Faculty of foreign languages and literatures.

On October 12th, on the day of Perm State University’s jubilee, in the Faculty of Philology and Sociology took place an international scientific conference entitled ‘Methodology of the Humanities’.

Forty-five scholars from different parts of the world arrived at Perm State University to congratulate on its centennial jubilee. There were academics from such universities as the University of Oxford, the University of Western Montana, the University of Louisville, the China University of Petroleum (Quingdao) and many others.

On October 12, at Perm State University, a meeting took place with Oxford City Council’s leader Bob Price, who talked about the main development tendencies and the most important political and social questions faced by his city.

The crypto economics educational programme will last from 1 to 4 August 2016, in the Russian city of Perm. Students and young specialists are welcome to come and learn more about the world of digital assets. The Perm Summer School on Blockchain & CryptoEconomics is organised by the Laboratory for Cryptoeconomics and Blockchain Systems at the Faculty of Economics of Perm State University (PSU).
