Current Research Activities
Linguistic and paleographic analysis of scrolls, notes of old business acts, decipherment of the Perm written records of the XVIth - XVIIIth centuries; analysis of manuscripts of the XVIIIth century of the State Archive of the Perm Krai.
Investigation of lexis of old written records and dialects of the Perm Region in various aspects (regional linguistic studies, interaction between the Russian language with other Kama region languages, reconstruction of the vanished appellative lexis based on onomastics data)
Investigation of etymology of appellatives and proper names (toponyms, nicknames and surnames), that are functioning in the Perm Region.
Development of the problems of historical, dialect and onomastic lexicography; work on the Dictionary of Perm toponyms, Etymological dictionary of Perm appellatives roots.
