MiFIT is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in finance and IT. The program provides an exciting learning environment that enables students to develop systematic understanding of quantitative finance with the professional skills to apply cutting edge information technology within an enterprise.

The program duration is 2 years. The program is rather comprehensive. The MiFIT curriculum includes:

After the course completion masters receive the diploma of state-recognized degree (Applied Mathematics and Informatics).

2. International internship for the 2nd year students
The second year master students can participate in the international internship, where they can meet leading specialists of various knowledge spheres. Every year we choose a country (China 2012, Belarus 2013) for the training course and provide a new exciting program for students. The program includes not only educational meetings, but cultural also events.

Perm Winter School is an annual conference on Modeling of Financial Markets and Risk Management, taking place in Perm (Russia). Every winter it brings together leading experts from academia and industry professionals in a 3-day program covering latest empirical research, theoretical models and industry best practice.
Perm State University (Russia) holds an international 2 weeks course in «Mathematical Models in Economics & Finance».
The course covers the following topics:
- Optimal Control;
- Dynamic Economy Models;
- Risk Management and Financial Markets Modeling.
FinMod is a student conference on Financial Modeling, which provides an opportunity for MiFIT students to participate and present their researches.
The Summer School on Econometrics allows students and experts to communicate and learn in a fairly informal and creative atmosphere in a summer camp.
Fees & Scholarships
The standard fee is $2600 per year (subject to change).
The program’s partner – international software company PROGNOZ – provides a limited number of scholarships covering the travelling and living expenses. Applicants for the scholarship will be selected based on preliminary assessment test containing questions on Basic Economics, Statistics and English language knowledge. The best students will be promoted for employment upon graduation.

Admission requirements:
Foreign applicant must have a diploma of bachelor (or equivalent) in Mathematics/Physics/Economics and graduate the university before entering the program.
Steps
If you are interested in MiFIT program (go for details):
1. Send your scanned diploma (if you have one) or send us the information about your field (if you don’t have your diploma) as well as your CV-resume to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. until the 1st of May.
2. In several days we’ll contact you and set the date of online interview. The online interview is going to be via Skype. Interview subjects are mathematics, econometrics and IT.
3. After the interview we will send you a test (mathematic, econometric and IT). You will have several hours for the test to accomplish.
4. You should take an interview and the test until May 25.
5. The enrolment will be made public in early June.
6. The entire package of documents with notarized translations must be ready before June 15.
7. Perm State University will send you an invitation letter (scan invitations), based on which you will have your visa issued.
8. During the period 2-13 September, we are waiting for you in Russia.
