Perm Students Participate the Volga-Yangtze Forum in China
Nine students from local higher institutions (Perm State National Research University, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Perm State Institute of Culture) became delegates of the "Volga-Yangtze: Charming Anhui" IV Russian-Chinese Youth Forum.
The venue was held on 6-17 June in the cities of Hefei and Huangshan, the Chinese People's Republic – to celebrate Chinese and Russian youth collaboration. A total of 160 Russian students from 14 regions of the Volga Federal District and 180 Chinese students from 6 regions of the Upper and Middle Yangtze River participated the Forum.
The delegation of Perm Krai took part in the round table, giving a presentation on Perm krai and its higher institutions, promoting international exchange. The delegates attended lectures by scholars of Hefei universities, took tours to local enterprises and experienced a broad introduction to Chinese history, culture and arts.
“The most unbelievable thing was the car-factory production. Can you imagine they produce 450 cars a day?! And that is only one factory!” - shares her impression Yekaterina Ilyina, a delegate for the Forum, a student at the PSU and a member for the International Department. “The most unforgettable impression were the Huangshan mountains. In spite of the awful weather we felt comfy and relaxed”.
As a part of the schedule Perm delegates also visited Anhui University of Chinese Medicine – observing the manufacturing process of traditional medicine based on ancient recipes, and testing the art of Chinese massage and acupuncture. At the Forum closing ceremony Perm students planted a tree in the Friendship Alley of Anhui University.
