Perm State University has got the status of a partner of Oxford University for international internships
Perm State University has officially joined the partners of International Internship Programme for the students of Oxford University for 2014. In Russia this status has been acquired by two universities and one international organization.
Assigning of the high status has become possible due to the long-term cooperation of the universities which started in 1990. Until recently the contacts were limited: there were only academic exchanges of the leading teachers. But now the new prospects are opened for our students.
It all started in 2012, when four students from Oxford University arrived at Perm State University for their Internship programme, in 2013 seven British students participated in it. Moreover, due to the results of the Internship - 2013, Perm State University was officially recognized as a sponsor University for the Internship Program 2014. "The new status allows us to negotiate on the participation of Perm students in educational and internship programmes offered by the University of Oxford" - said the head of the International Department Igor Kadzhaya.
Currently Oxford University implements its programmes in more than 100 educational and research institutions as well as in international organizations and the United Nation agencies. 30 countries are included in cooperation. The present Oxford University Internship Program was established in 2008 to offer Oxford University students the access to high quality global summer internships. Because of its popularity with both students and recruiters (sponsors) it has rapidly expanded to include hundreds of placements both overseas and in the UK. Every year the program facilitates the contacts between thousands of Oxford undergraduates and postgraduates and a wide variety of companies and organizations around the world.
