Call for abstracts

Dear colleagues!

We are glad to invite you to participate in the International Mine Water Association Conference “Mine Water: Technological and Ecological Challenges” (IMWA 2019) that will be held in Perm State University (Perm, Russia), 15-19 July 2019.

For the first time in IMWA’s history, the conference is organised in one of the outstanding mining regions on the boarder of Europe and Asia: in Perm, Russia.  The conference is organised by the International Mine Water Association and Perm State University with the support of the Perm Krai Administration and the Perm Scientific Centre of the Ural Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences.

Since 1979, the International Mine Water Association (IMWA) has held annual international meetings focused on various aspects of mine water including its hydrology, chemistry, biology, environmental issues, and potential treatment and reuse.

The materials from the conference will be published in the conference proceeding and the best papers of the sessions will be published in the peer reviewed IMWA journal “Mine Water and the Environment” after the Conference.
